Hosokawa Micron announces mobile apps for equipment diagnostics using XpertRule App deployment technology
Global supplier of powder processing equipment Hosokawa Micron has announced the availability of a mobile app for diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with milling equipment. The new app was launched at the Powtech international trade fair for mechanical processing technologies at Nuremberg in Germany in April and is currently available on iOS and mobile web in English and German language versions. The app is designed for use by field service personnel and customers on a global basis and provides immediate access to expert knowledge and experience for troubleshooting equipment problems. It identifies both the potential causes of equipment problems and suggests solutions for their resolution.
Iain Crosley Managing Director of Hosokawa Micron Ltd, who attended the trade fair in Nuremberg, commented: “We view mobile diagnostic and support apps as a transformational technology in the way we provide technical support to our customers and believe they will help production sites achieve the best results from our equipment”.
Mobile apps are developed in the Knowledge Builder Authoring environment and deployed to the XpertRule Cloud where they can be accessed via Smartphones and Tablets or Desktop Browser clients.
They have access to standard XpertRule features such as graphical rules, calculations and interactive user interfaces as well as links to explanatory help features such as photos, flow diagrams and reference documents.
