This sample application demonstrates the use of the XpertRule Rules & Decision automation engine as an IBM BlueMix service.
The knowledge provides an automated decision of which items to re-order for a convenience store based on the foot-fall (number of people in the store which is derived from image recognition), current weather data and whether local schools are on holiday (vacation).
Try the Sample
Select an image (to indicate number of people in the store)
This is passed to IBM Alchemy Vision which uses it to deduce the number of people in the image
You must select an image
Are pupils currently in school?
Please specify the school holiday/term situation
Supply an address (for weather lookup)
This is passed to IBM Insights for Weather to get the current external temperature
You must supply valid postcode
We will now Call the XpertRule® service passing the selected image, school holiday state & geographic location. The XpertRule service performs the following steps...
Use Alchemy Vision to detect the number of people in the image
Use Insights for Weather to get the current external temperature
Apply trees/rules to automatically derive which item to order
